I'll Fly Away
. . .

Oh well I'm tired and so weary but I must go along
Till the Lord comes and calls, calls me away
Well the mornings so bright and the land is the light
And the night, night is as black as the sea

There will be peace in the valley for me someday
There will be peace in the valley for me, Oh Lord I pray
There will no sadness, no sorrow, no trouble, trouble I see
There will be peace in the valley for me.

Well the bear will be gentle and the wolf will be tame
And the lion shall lay down by the lamb
and the beasts from the wild shall be led by a child
And I'll be changed from this creature that I am

There will be peace in the valley for me someday
There will be peace in the valley for me, Oh Lord I pray
There will no sadness, no sorrow, no trouble, trouble I see
There will be peace in the valley for me.

. . .

I'm satisfied with just a cottage below
A little silver and a little gold
But in that city, where the ransomed will shine
I want a gold one, that's silver lined

I've got a mansion just over the hilltop
In that bright land where we'll never grow old
And someday yonder, we'll never more wander
But walk on streets that are purest gold

Though often tempted, tormented and tempted
And like the prophet my pillow is stone
And though I find here no permanent dwelling
I know he'll give me a mansion my own

I've got a mansion just over the hilltop
In that bright land where we'll never grow old
And someday yonder, we'll never more wander
But walk on streets that are purest gold

Don't think me poor Lord, deserted or lonely
I'm not discouraged, 'cause I'm heaven bound
I'm just a pilgrim in search of a city
I want a mansion, a harp, and a crown

I've got a mansion just over the hilltop
In that bright land where we'll never grow old
And someday yonder, we will never more wander
But walk on streets that are purest gold

. . .

I believe my steps are growing wearier each day
Still I've got a journey on my mind.
The lures of this old world have ceased to make me want to stay
But my one regret is leaving you behind.

If it should prove to be His will that I am first to cross
And somehow I've a feeling it will be.
When it comes your time to travel, likewise don't feel lost
For I will be the first one that you see.

And I'll be waiting on the far side banks of Jordan.
I'll be sitting drawing pictures in the sand.
And when I see you coming, I will rise up with a shout
And come running through the shallow water reaching for your hand.

Through this world we labor hard to earn our meager fare

It's brought us trembling hands and failing eyes.
I'll just rest here on the shore and turn my head away
Until you come and we'll see Paradise.

And I'll be waiting on the far side banks of Jordan.
I'll be sitting drawing pictures in the sand.
And when I see you coming, I will rise up with a shout
And come running through the shallow water reaching for your hand.

Yes I'll be waiting on the far side banks of Jordan.
I'll be sitting drawing pictures in the sand.
And when I see you coming, I will rise up with a shout
And come running through the shallow waters reaching for your hand

On the wings of a snow-white dove
He sends His pure sweet love
A sign from above (sign from above)
On the wings of a dove (wings of a dove)

When troubles surround us, when evils come
The body grows weak the spirit grows numb
When these things beset us, God doesn't forget us
He sends down His love On the wings of a dove

On the wings of a snow-white dove
He sends His pure sweet love
A sign from above (sign from above)
On the wings of a dove (wings of a dove)

When Noah had drifted on the flood many days
He searched for land in various ways
Troubles, he had some but wasn't forgotten
He sent him His love On the wings of a dove

On the wings of a snow-white dove
He sends His pure sweet love
A sign from above (sign from above)
On the wings of a dove (wings of a dove)

When Jesus went down to the waters that day
He was baptised in the usual way
When it was done God blessed His Son
He sent down His Love on the wings of a dove

On the wings of a snow-white dove
He sends His pure sweet love
A sign from above (sign from above)
On the wings of a dove (wings of a dove)

A sign from above On the wings of a dove

1. If Jesus comes tomorrow to spend some time with you
Would you answer all His questions or lie to hide the truth?
Would you welcome Him with open arms, or even let Him in?
If Jesus comes tomorrow, what then?

2. If Jesus calls your number, could you leave today?
Are you ready to lay down your worldly goods and walk away?
Would it take a month of Sundays just to tell Him of your sin,
If Jesus comes tomorrow, what then?

3. If the sky turns black as midnight in the middle of the day
and somehow you knew that Jesus would soon be on His way,
Would you have to beg forgiveness, or could you reach out and take His hand?
If Jesus comes tomorrow, what then?

. . .

Wait a little longer please Jesus
There are so many still wandering out in sin
Just a little longer please Jesus
A few more days to get our loved ones in.

Here the labor is so hard and the workers are so tired
And our weary hearts are yearning for a rest
And we find we're getting anxious to be in that happy home
Where we'll receive such peace and happiness.

We may look into the skies and tears will fill our eyes
While our burdened hearts grow heavier with each day
First we cry oh Lord please come, come and take your children home
But then we look around us and we say.

Wait a little longer please Jesus
There are so many still wandering out in sin
Just a little longer please Jesus
A few more days to get our loved ones in.

The family's scattered here and there but Lord we love them dear
And maybe we can help them find their way
Then if waiting is the cost that they may not be lost
Lord that's the only reason why we say

Wait a little longer please Jesus
There are so many still wandering out in sin
Just a little longer please Jesus
A few more days to get our loved ones in.

Just a little longer please Jesus
A few more days to get our loved ones in.

Precious Memories

How sweet and happy seem, those days of which I dream
When memory recalls them now and then
And with what repture sweet, my weary heart would beat
If I could hear my mother pray again

She used to pray that I, on Jesus would rely
And always walked the shining gospel way
So trusting still His love, I seek that home above
Where I shall meet my mother some glad day

If I could only hear my mother pray again
If I could only hear her tender voice as then
How happy I would be, t'would mean so much to me
If I could hear my mother pray again

Within the old home place, her patient smiling face
Was always spreading comfort, hope and cheer
And when she used to sing to her eternal king
It was the songs the angels loved to hear

Her work on earth is done, the life crown has been won
And she will be at rest with Him above
And some glad morning she, I know will welcome me
To that eternal home of peace and love

If I could only hear my mother pray again
If I could only hear her tender voice as then
How happy I would be, t'would mean so much to me
If I could hear my mother pray again
If I could hear my mother pray again

. . .

I am weak but Thou art strong
Jesus keep me from all wrong
I'll be satisfied as long as I walk
Let me walk close to Thee.

Just a closer walk with Thee
Grant it Jesus, is my plea
Daily walking close to Thee
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

Through this world of toil and snares
If I falter Lord, who cares?
Who with me my burden shares?
None but Thee, dear Lord, none but Thee.

When my feeble life is o'er
Time for me will be no more
Guide me gently, safely o'er
To Thy kingdoms shore, to Thy shore.

Just a closer walk with Thee
Grant it Jesus, is my plea
Daily walking close to Thee
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

Daily walking close to Thee
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

How many times have you heard someone say
"If I had his money, I could do things my way?"
But little they know that it's so hard to find
One rich man in ten with a satisfied mind.

Once I was waiting in fortune and fame
Everything that I dreamed for to get a start in life's game
Then suddenly it happened, I lost every dime
But I'm richer by far with a satisfied mind

Money can't buy back your youth when you're old
Or a friend when you're lonely, or a love that's grown cold
The wealthiest person is a pauper at times
Compared to the man with a satisfied mind

When life has ended, my time has run out
My friends and my loved ones, I'll leave them no doubt
But one thing's for certain, when it comes my time
I'll leave this old world with a satisfied mind

. . .

When I come to the river at the ending of day
When the last winds of sorrow have blown
There'll be somebody waiting to show me the way
I won't have to cross Jordan alone

I won't have to cross Jordan alone
Jesus died all my sins to atone
In the darkness I see
He'll be waiting for me
I won't have to cross Jordan alone

Often times I'm weary and troubled and sad
When it seems that my friends have all flown
There is one thought that cheers me and makes my heart glad
I won't have to cross Jordan alone

I won't have to cross Jordan alone
Jesus died all my sins to atone
In the darkness I see
He'll be waiting for me
I won't have to cross Jordan alone

Though the billows of trouble and sorrow may sweep
Christ the Saviour will care for his own
Till the end of my journey my soul he will keep
And I won't have to cross Jordan alone

I won't have to cross Jordan alone
Jesus died all my sins to atone
In the darkness I see
He'll be waiting for me
I won't have to cross Jordan alone

There's a church in the valley by the wildwood
No lovelier place in the dale;
No spot is so dear to my childhood,
As the little brown church in the vale.

Oh, come, come, come, come...
Come to the church in the wildwood,
Oh, come to the church in the dale;
No spot is so dear to my childhood,
As the little brown church in the vale.

How sweet, on a bright Sunday morning,
To listen to the clear-ringing bell;
It's tones so sweetly are calling:
Oh, come to the church in the dell.

Oh, come, come, come, come...
Come to the church in the wildwood,
Oh, come to the church in the dale;
No spot is so dear to my childhood,
As the little brown church in the vale.

Oh, come to the church in the wildwood
To the trees where the wild flowers bloom
Where the parting hymn will be chanted
We will weep by the side of the tomb

Oh, come, come, come, come...
Come to the church in the wildwood,
Oh, come to the church in the dale;
No spot is so dear to my childhood,
As the little brown church in the vale.

Brothers, now for the Savior let us rally,

Let us serve Him who never will fail;
"Gainst the foes of the truth let us sally
From the little brown church in the dale.

Oh, come, come, come...
Come to the church by the wildwood,
Oh, come to the church in the dale;
No spot is so dear to my childhood,
As the little brown church in the vale.

Far too long we have wandered after pleasures
And ignored the sweet plea of the Lord;
Let us strive for heavenly treasures-
Let us work for the blessed reward.

Oh, come, come, come...
Come to the church by the wildwood,
Oh, come to the church in the dale;
No spot is so dear to my childhood,
As the little brown church in the vale.

Let us offer ourselves anew to Jesus,
And the message of life gladly tell;
Let us cling to the Savior who frees us,
Let us love this bright spot in the dell.

Oh, come, come, come...
Come to the church by the wildwood,
Oh, come to the church in the dale;
No spot is so dear to my childhood,
As the little brown church in the vale.

Not long ago I was thinking of home
And I wondered if Mama was there all alone
I thought I'd drop by as I'd done before
But the sound from within made me stop at the door

She was praying
A sound that the world seldom hears
Praying, her words were pleading and cear
The sound of her vioce as she spoke my name
Brought tears to my eyes, My heart filled with shame
Praying, praying for someone like me

I was walking one night and I felt so alone
My heart was weary from the trouble I'd known
I hadn't noticed a church that was near
Till the sound from within seemed to fill the air

They were praying
A sound that the world seldom hears
Praying, the children that God loves so dear
Outside in the darkness I could not see
But I could picture them down on their knees
Praying, praying for someone like me
Praying, praying for someone like me

. . .

I have heard of a land on a faraway strand
Tis a beatiful home of the soul
Built by Jesus on high there we never shall die
Tis a land land where we never grow old

In that beautiful home where we'll never more roam
We shall be in the sweet by and by
And give praise to the king, through eternity sing
Tis a land where we never shall die

Never grow old, never grow old
In a land where we'll never grow old
Never grow old, never grow old
In a land where we'll never grow old

When our work here is done and the life crown is won
And our troubles and trials are all o'er
All our sorrow will end and our voices will blend
With the loved ones who have gone on before

Never grow old, never grow old
In a land where we'll never grow old
Never grow old, never grow old
In a land where we'll never grow old
