The call of the wild says: “I’m free to make my noise”
If you don’t mind, I’ll be your cousin
I will be your uncle for short
I’ll be your uncle for short
For sure

So if you don’t mind, I don’t mind
I’ll make some noise
If you join in, I’ll back you
And I will be your rhythm guitar
I’ll be your rhythm guitar

Your mother would say: “come on home, you’ve been so long”
But, something inside, it begs: “keep running”
‘Cause you have entered into the wild,
Hoping to spend a little while
Into the wild

. . .

I’m rewriting Christmas thoughts
And what things could be like
Chasing other peoples dreams
Until we enter the light

We call to brothers with our fear of flight
We count the moments till we’re out of sight

Today, could be like any other day
Tonight, could be like any other night

So I’m waiting by the satellites
Hoping that the moon would call me back
These blankets are my fall
My hiding place from the dreaded cold Mondays
Take these tears to my house
The Kleenex is beneath us now
Dry your eyes; I am your surprise tonight

Today, could be like any other day
Tonight, could be like any other night
The joining of our eyes is so right

Tomorrow, we’ll be on our way
To late afternoons firestorms

Today, could be like any other day
Tonight, could be like any other night
The joining of our eyes is so right

Tomorrow, we’ll be on our way
Till late afternoon firestorms

Jacked, like a snack from a knapsack
You don’t know which way is up, up above
Jack’s stacked on the tip of a wick whack
You won’t cry or show you’re inside out
You’ve cracked, now you’re letting your best out
Wait, stop you can’t go forward without looking back
But you try

I am so tired of my so-called friends
All I want, all I need is another trend
If something easy comes around the bend
I’ll take it down to your small tugboat-tapping town

Wrapped up in miles of beanstalk
Go on up it is up, up above
So fragile, like you’re taking some big steps
Don’t crack ‘cause you’re doused in your own ways
You’ve left and now you’re pulling in a rep
Don’t Jack, don’t climb back up to the top
You can’t go forward till you hit the sack
Till you hit your top

I am so tired of my so-called friends
All I want, all I need is another trend
If something easy comes around the bend
I’ll take it down to the ground

I’m the means to the end

I am so tired of these so-called friends
All I want, all I need is another trend
If something easy comes around the bend
I’ll take it down to your small tugboat-tapping town

I am so tired of these so-called friends
All I want, all I need is another trend
If something easy comes around the bend
I’ll take it down to your small tugboat-tapping town

Forever the breaks, it is time for escape
You’re escaping on us
For us there’s time

Well, don’t you give up on us
Don’t you give on time or us
If the water will rise, pull up your jeans to your knees
Make your paper airplane and send it out straight to the sea

. . .

Delight,
With these green leaves, green leaves
They cover these old trees
All we do is tear them down
With these mean things, mean things
All of these tree rings are going to bring me down

Somebody come save this sunshine
Back to where delight lies
Running reminisces
Running to the kisses
Running away
I wait for delight

So I’m waiting, waiting
I’m under this sultry
Below once more, I go to her
With these two seeds, two seeds
Now they’re planting old trees
A place where I deserve

Somebody come save this sunshine
Back to where delight lies
Running reminisces
Running to the kisses
Running away
I wait for delight

I’m waiting on the backside
I always wait
I smell a problem
Then my horse rides in

My heart alone is the hardest part
It’s a traffic jam and it burns right through my trunk

. . .

As for us,
We’ll cause a million miles
To form this great wall
I’m so sorry
That you can’t be much taller

Oh Mrs. Beautiful,
You come at the right time
Singing those morning lullabies
To wake me, it can’t wait

I’m back to bed

Take a walk with me
For a thousand miles
I’ll make the moon shine bright
I’m so sorry that you can’t be in this story

Hey Mr. Courteous,
You cower in your bed
But don’t be at the top wishing
Forever you’ll be in silence,
Call it dark

Shh

I’m back to bed (mhmm he’s back to bed)
Without the sorries (without the sorries)
I’m back to bed (oh he’s back to bed)
And don’t you worry (I won’t worry)

It must be in my dreams
It must be in our dreams

. . .

Olden day snow,
It’s a cold night
A fire cries out
Cuddled close tonight
So far, we’re never alone
But looking back to when mother would say:

“We are alive and we have got the Christmas light of time,
Bulbs shining bright and high above the candles,
Christmas Nigh”

I have been living life
Through a window and
Through the artwork
Paintings that rose from the ashes
A warm soft glow echoes from the outside

“We are alive and we have got the Christmas light of time,
Bulbs shining bright and high above the candles,
Christmas Nigh”

Adventure through the cold
On a journey coloured white
Build yourself a snowman
You’ll surprise yourself with fright
Corncob and piping he is dancing
In the brightest of daylight

That’s how it started,
Several pages ago

. . .

Well, crazy critters crawling off my hat
And the one who knows, is to afraid to even call back

Mister play your cards right,
Can’t you keep them down at your side?

Dearly beloved we’re gathered
Together whenever we’re ever together
However the weather is better through your pretty eyes
Mister I know you did yourself some good in the present
With constant persistence
Abandoned three wishes can never be bargained for more

Well based on the fact is I’m a number of maps
The eating up inside of digestible lies
Gets you right on track

Spiral into dark times
Misconnected is the daylight

Dearly beloved we’re gathered
Together whenever we’re ever together
However the weather seems better through your googly eyes
Mister I know you did yourself some good in the present
With constant persistence
Abandoned three wishes can never be given away

I’ll smile in the winter
When the leaves fall off the trees
You could be my wife’s tale,
I’ll be your waiting man
And we’ll walk off hand in hand

Watch as the moments fall like rain
There’s things that can’t be told by age
Of course these folks don’t hear your name
You’re more than when you seem the same
But I won’t test you
I won’t

. . .

Waiting for the worst to come
It’s keeping me from bopping
Waterbeds that hold me down
A sleeping bee, a sleeping bee
I’m hiding in the shadows

And I’ve been thinking I won’t get out
If I don’t believe in me,
Don’t believe in this truth
Course set
Slow time in this sunset

Pacing back while unamused
At fools that keep me in a ruse
Salute a hidden grief
Trying to find a way back home
An octopus that told the sea
To grow a tale and live the dream
Will always blend within
And underneath the water

And I’ve been thinking I might get out
If I just believe in me,
Just believe in this truth
Oh look out for

So don’t you think that I
Might make it out of here alive
The other time I thought I saw you come,
I was making things appear in slow-mo

But I’ll stay here for
And I’ll try

So long as I have my two best friends
So long as we’re swimming free
No I can’t, no I won’t give opportunities
The chance on me

. . .

Don't make your strokes about
Leaving a mark you wished you'd live without
Go make your jokes about
Some token trophy scar and how you got it
In the time allotted
Until it goes away

A know it all sings after all
But I won't sing anything
Let me paraphrase my troubled days
And live like nothing has changed

I always coax you and I
A little chance to sway
Some more little lies
I know everything that needs to be known
I'm not afraid anymore

A know it all sings after all
But I won't sing anything
Let me paraphrase my troubled days

A know it all sings after all
But I won't sing anything
Let me paraphrase my better days
And live like nothing has changed

. . .

My thoughts sway
Every which way
Like the shorelines they brush up against
Oh no, it’s happened again
My imaginations getting the best of me
History once has said that everything is as it seems
There’s no fooling me

Because I am seemingly impossible to read
If I don’t straight walk the sidewalk
I won’t be the yellow chalk fish
I won’t be your yellow chalk fish
Underneath the sea

So majestic and offensive
Drawing lines along legacy
Oh no, not again
My miseries taking the backseat
It’s an “everything as you imagined it to be” mystery
It won’t shake the sea
We’ll see

Because I am stretching out the possibilities
If I don’t straight walk the boardwalk
I won’t be the yellow chalk fish
I won’t be your yellow chalk fish
Underneath the sea

. . .

Love, it seems, has found me
Tapered in moonlight
With a promise of a favourite disguise

When there’s nobody else
I’ll make fun of myself
And promises that no one
But I saw pink clouds
Covered with the shawls from the morning
After I flew over the sunrise and over the surprise
Water will fill my lungs
Over the clouds, down under
The pillow with soft magic sound
We sat the morning next to waterfalls

Because love, it seems, is always right on time
And in the right way
Stories that will break your heart
Wild dancing dreams
Fall in with head over heels
And I’m making fun of myself
Moments with the clearest skies

While dressing, I saw pink clouds
Covered with the shawls from the morning
After I flew over the sunrise and over the surprise
And water will fill my lungs
Over the clouds, down under
The pillow with soft magic sound
We sat the morning next to waterfalls

Saturday’s a story,
Of wild rides, it’s all on me
Tales of rapture come chasing for life
Over edge, we dive tonight
‘Cause I fell asleep last night

My momma says to eat the vegetables
And I don’t mind them
Counting colours with everyday friends
It’s just the way it goes in here

I saw pink clouds
Covered with the shawls from the morning
After I flew over the sunrise and over the surprise
And water will fill my lungs
Over the clouds, down under
The rounds of a string bound town
We sat the morning next to waterfalls

We sat the morning next to waterfalls
Talking all the time that we sat wall-to-wall

. . .

Oh my, what a fine day.

Rosebuds gather in the middle of the street
Oh, I can't breathe, they're tickling my feet.
And they sing to me
Everyone comes and goes
Through our yard
And when they bloom, so beautifully in their gardens.

They dance merrily across our fields
Time seems to slow down

I'm falling asleep

Crystal ships march safely through a storm
And for a moment it felt like everything was fine
I'm fond of sleeping on the horizon
Wake me up when the half-moon rises

As they land on my shoulders,
The petals turn to dust
My arms are heavy soldiers,
Left out becoming rust

Mother nature
The weight of the world on my shoulders
With rage and force, she ends the madness
We shiver, we shudder.

There's nowhere to run
When there's nowhere to run,
The storm has just begun.
